Recently, GENCAD received 380kg of laboratory equipment from LabAid Trust, a charity based in the UK . The equipment has been delivered to Mandera Secondary School and was received by the Head Teacher of Mandera Secondary School, Mr. Enow Gulia.

Due to shortages of science equipment in all schools in Mandera district, the Head Teachers Association agreed to store the consignment at Mandera Secondary School in order to establish a resource centre for science equipment. All schools in the district will have the opportunity to borrow equipment they require from the centre and return them for others to borrow.

The centre requires more help to be fully equipped and serve all schools in the district. Because of the need for science equipment, GENCAD will continue to source more science equipment and other teaching aids for the centre.

We plan to expand this project to cover other districts in the province in the near future. GENCAD welcomes assistance from any organisation or institution interested in supporting this worthy cause.
