Humanitarian Relief.

We fundraise during emergency situations for drought and famine relief.

Humanitarian Relief.

The Horn of Africa region experiences frequent droughts and famine which leaves millions of people in urgent need of assistance with food and water.

The drought often leads to loss of livestock the main livelihoods of the pastoralist communities which inhabits this region. With the deaths of their livestock because of lack of pasture and water, many nomadic families move into towns and villages in search of water and food. GENCAD’s humanitarian programme provides water and food to communities in northern Kenya.

In the past, we have fundraised for the region in emergencies – we fundraised for these circumstances in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

These projects are not ongoing, but if there is a need moving forward, we will run a campaign to build awareness and fundraise to help alleviate the situation.
